Orifice plate flanges are special flanges for connecting pipes and installing orifice plate flow meters, usually used in pairs, equivalent to butt-welding flanges or sliding flanges, but which require additional machining, with radial holes and threaded holes. They are mainly used to measure the flow of fluids (e.g. liquids, gases or vapors) in pipelines. By installing an orifice plate between two orifice flanges, the pressure difference generated on both sides of the orifice plate can be used to deduce the flow rate of the fluid in combination with the relevant formula, similar to the ordinary flanges, with bolt holes for connecting two flanges by bolts to realize reliable connection and sealing between pipelines.
